Our last London trip is already a couple of weeks ago ( how is it possible that time goes by so fast! ) Today I look back at our visit at The Hoxton. Not a budget hotel this time but definitely worth the money!

londonday4_klein2015 (32 of 12)We arrive a little bit early, four hours early to be exact. Check-in is available from two o’clock so we didn’t except a room to be ready yet. But there was! Thankfully the receptionist said right away that this could be a bit of a noise room. The Hoxton is besides a hotel also a restaurant / bar and the room would be rights above this area. If we wanted something more quite, we could leave our bags with her and come back later in the afternoon. This is what I call, hospitality. Wanting the best for your guests! The non party animals that we are, we picked the second option and headed into town. Time to explore Shoreditch! Shoreditch is one of the most upcoming arias in the city full of cute coffee bars, modern restaurants and a lot of street art.

londonday_groot2015 (9 of 17)Not your standard, have seen this many times before, rooms but a funky modern space. There is a little desk in the corner if you need to do some work, lots of books and a big Chesterfield to snug up in.

The bed is big and the bedding felt like sleeping in clouds, so fluffy! And I haven’t even talked about all the little details. There was music playing when we entered the room, there is a little bottle of milk waiting for you in the fridge ( yes, free of charge ) and If you open the desk you find everything you need for a nice night in. Love, love love!

The bathroom has a big rain shower, unfortunately not a bad, but it’s more than nice enough to calm down after a long day in London.

Breakfast is included in the price, and again, comes in typical Hoxton style. Write down with how many people you are and hang it at your door. The next morning you will find it filled with a some yoghurt, a banana and some fresh orange juice.

What I remember most about the hotel? The atmosphere! It may be a little bit overwhelming when you walk in ( the lobby was filled with men in suits and women on high heels celebrating the weekend ) but you feel at ease right away. The staff is amazing. I haven’t seen a grumpy face and nothing is to much trouble.

I can’t wait to discover their second hotel in London! Do you have a little bit more to spend, than book a room at The Hoxton. You won’t be disappointed!
